Your bank will never tell you that $12 of that was coffee, or that the same box of cereal cost $4.19 in March and $5.49 now. That only exists on the paper receipt, and the paper receipt goes in the trash. Tally photographs it and keeps every line.

What it does
Reads the whole receipt
Merchant, date, total, and every line item exactly as printed.

Look back through what you bought, by store and by item.
Handles crumpled paper
Thermal receipts fade and crease. That is most of the difficulty.
Says when it is unsure
A receipt it cannot read clearly goes to review instead of a quiet guess.
What it does not do
Your receipts are never sold or shared.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to market research companies. There is no advertising and no tracking in the app. Delete your account from inside it and the receipts and their photos go with it, immediately.
About the points
Tally gives you points for scanning. They are a score, not a currency. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money or gift cards, and the terms say so plainly. They exist because scanning a receipt should feel like something rather than nothing.
Who makes it
I do. Tally is made by Strawberry Digital, an independent product studio in Tampa, Florida. I built it because I wanted it on my own phone, and I use it on my own groceries.
